Paternity/Parentage – establishes the rights and obligations of unmarried parents. Until these rights and obligations are established by court order, neither party has legally enforceable custodial rights.
Parent-Time – the amount of time each parent gets to spend with the child.
Personal Property – includes all tangible, moveable property such as clothing, household items, cars, recreational vehicles, etc.
Real Property – includes tangible, non-moveable property such as residential homes, plots of land, vacation homes, etc.
Retirement – retirement accounts include pensions, 401k plans, mutual funds, etc. These accounts need to be divided between the parties.
Third party custody – custody for a person other than a parent of the child
Visitation/Parent Time – the amount of time each parent is awarded with a child, this can range from standard (every other weekend) parent-time up to 50/50 parent time, and includes a holiday and summer parent-time schedule. |
